Surfer Aaron Conti was bitten by a shark off Playalinda Beach, Florida on Monday,
Conti says he was relaxing in the ocean when he felt the bite on his right foot.
“This is the first time I had a shark bite, but wasn’t too bad. (It) felt like an electric shock hitting my heel,” the surfer told WFTV 9
He was able to paddle back to the shore to call 911. First responders treated the wound and Mr. Conti drove himself to the hospital.
He says the incident will not keep him from the ocean, as he plans to start surfing again as soon as his wound heals.
Last month Michael Salinger, a 21-year-old surfer was bitten on the right hand in the same area.
Saying it helps him relax “I like nature. It’s God’s creation. You see stuff.”
